Linda M Swope

Linda M. Swope, age 65, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on April 2, 2024. She was born on December 12, 1958 in Wise, VA to Carl and Irene (Hubbard) McCoy. Linda loved caring for her home and her family, she was the proudest MeMe. She loved to host the holidays for her family, and she also loved her dog, Bruno. Linda had a huge heart, she was kind to everyone and no one was a stranger.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Floyd Ellsworth Swope; sister, Sheila Hazel; and stepson, Mark Swope. Left to cherish her memories are her children, Nathaniel (Molly) McCoy and Amanda (Mark) Winkle; step-children, Brian Swope, Tamara (Tim) Sauerwein and Floyd Swope; grandchildren, Madeline and Nathaniel Jr. McCoy, Emma and Mason Winkle, Faith and Tim Sauerwein, Seth, Sam and Sierra Swope; and great-grandchildren, Maelina, Alice and Arcadia. Also surviving are siblings, Ed (Sue) and Dave (Lori) McCoy, and numerous other family members and friends.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and Friday, April 12, 2024 from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd, Toledo, where a Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 am on Friday. Interment will immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
