Bryan Ames Ziegler, age 30, of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully with his family and friends by his side on Monday, February 5, 2024. He was born on Sunday, December 19, 1993 in Toledo, Ohio, to Tim and Patty (Hipp) Ziegler. Bryan was known for his kind and gentle spirit, and positive attitude. A 2012 graduate from Bowsher High School. In high school, Bryan played a trumpet in concert and jazz bands, and a member of the National Honor Society. He received his Associate's Degree in Art in 2016 from Owens Community College. Bryan previously worked as an usher at the Toledo Mud Hens. In addition, Bryan was a proud Eagle Scout, and a die-hard Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers and Ohio State fan. He will be deeply missed.
Bryan is survived by his parents, Tim and Patty Ziegler; grandmother, Joan Hipp; aunts, Karen (Frank) Wise, Susan Ronez and Stephanie (Frank) Dollarhide and uncle, Bernie Hipp, Jr. and many cousins and special friends, Andrea (Abdelilah)Aryoug, Chantal Crane and Zack Rizzo. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bernard Hipp Sr., Ken and Jacqueline Ziegler, and uncle Mike Ziegler.
Family and friends are invited for a Celebration of his life Sunday, February 11, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, OH 43614. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, February 12, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, OH 43614. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Toledo, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to Boy Scouts of America (Erie Shores Council) or Make-A-Wish. Please consider wearing red on Sunday in memory of Bryan. Bryan's final act of kindness was to give the gift of a tissue donation.
