Barbara Kay Woodward, age 85, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 17 at the Toledo Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on April 11, 1938, in Toledo, Ohio. Barbara, lovingly known as Barb, was a retired employee of the payroll department at Owens Illinois. Barbara attended Woodward High School in Toledo. She was a strong lifelong Christian and worshipped at various places of worship throughout her life.
Barbara was a chatty and loving person who could talk to anyone, anywhere. She took immense pride in her grandchildren and all their accomplishments. She enjoyed spending time and traveling with her children and grandchildren, creating precious memories together. She was her grandchildren's number-one fan at all the horse shows, soccer games, and orchestra concerts over the years. While married to her second husband, she enjoyed many years as part of the 6th Ohio Calvary, a Civil War reenactment group, where she made many friends. Barb was compassionate about animals big and small; she volunteered later in life at the Toledo Humane Society.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Ladonna Whalen, and Loyal Woodward, her first husband, Joseph Staab Sr, her second husband, Fredrick Brenneman, and her brother, Loyal Woodward Jr. Also preceding her in death was Kricket, her lifelong canine companion who was truly her 4th child. She is survived by her brothers, Bill (Ellen) Woodward and Ronald Woodward; her children, Chandra (Dr. Glen) Vaughn, Joseph (Dr. Becky) Staab, and Laurie (Gary) Schrock; her grandchildren, Adam Vaughn, Dr. Jacob Vaughn, Dr. Courtney (Dr. Patrick) Rowland, Faith Schrock, Autumn Schrock, Alexis (Kyle) Anderson, Austin Staab; and her new great-grandchild, Henry Rowland.
