Brian Dane Stambaugh passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving family on November 10, 2023 at the age of 55. He is now pain free and with his Lord and Savior. Brian was born on March 7, 1968, he and his brother were given up for adoption at the age of two. He remained at the Miami Children's Home until he was adopted at the age of eleven by Gil and Carol Stambaugh. As a teenager, Brian was a Boy Scout and was a member of the Young Marines.
In 1994, purely by fate, Brian met Kris, the love of his life. The two later married on December 21, 1996. Six months later, Brian officially adopted all four of Kris's children (ranging from 10 to twins that were 3) making them his very own. He had finally found the family that he wished and dreamed of for years. Brian's love for his family was evident attending every school function, sporting event, and was a prime example of what a wonderful husband and father should be.
In 2005, Brian was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and Avascular Narcrosis. Due to his health conditions, he retired from Flowform, Inc as a lead Phosphate Operator. His health slowly declined over the years, with additional painful illnesses. Brian's faith, love for his family, and fighting spirit helped him through these trials. Besides spending time with his family, Brian enjoyed fishing, classic country music, bonfires, yearly vacations to Frankenmuth, U of M football, Dallas Cowboys, Pepsi, and his tools/garage. Brian is a member of St. Clement's Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his biological parents as well as his adoptive parents.
Left to honor his memory is his soulmate of 27 years, Kris (Commet); his four loving children, Chantell (Mike), Danielle (Antoine), Derek (Ericka), and Destiny; his seven amazing grandchildren, Grace, Ryan, Troy, Cameron, Hayden, Kaden, and Skylar; sister, Shelly (Eric) Marsh; sisters-in-law, Michele (Joe) Tedd and Rene (Randy) Reckner; several nieces and nephews; special aunt, Gig; his cat, Simba; and grand dog, Lucy, who never left his side.
The family would like to express sincerest gratitude and appreciation for all those that have prayed and supported us during this time. Your kindness will never be forgotten. A special thank you to his niece, Shannon Reese, for her daily help and compassion. There will be a private celebration of life for Brian in the near future. Please celebrate Brian's life in your own special way… enjoy a dinner with your family and don't take for granted your time left with them.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, to whom has been a blessing for our family (especially Anna and Kristen).
Brian, rest easy knowing you built something incredible with this family. You helped raise four amazing children as well as taking care of our beautiful grandchildren-they love their Papa! Your memories and love will live on forever. I can't wait to see the mansion you're building for us in Heaven. It's not goodbye, it's until we meet again. I will love you forever and always, Kris… Shmily.
