Chris D. Wunderlin

Chris D. Wunderlin, age 73, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on October 23, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 13, 1950 in Toledo to the late Donald and Shirley Wunderlin. Chris was a 1969 graduate of Rogers High School. He then went on to work 49 years at General Motors before retiring in 2018. During that time, he also proudly served in the U.S. Army, and was a member of the American Legion. Chris was a big traveler, venturing throughout the whole country and across the world. Sports played a large role in Chris's life, he bowled for years and faithfully supported the Ohio State Buckeyes, Detroit Tigers and Lions. Chris also enjoyed the theater with his wife, Joanne, they held season tickets at the Stranahan Theater for years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Wunderlin; brother, John Wunderlin; and step-mother, Pauline Wunderlin. Chris is survived by his children, Ronda Ball and Randy (Nikki) Wunderlin and their mother, Lois, Brad Semple, Chuck (Tiffany) Semple, and Amy (Tim) Smith; grandchildren, Wyatt (Kayla), Wesley (Haley), Aubree, and William Wunderlin, Cady, Maci, and Lucas Semple, and Alex and Abby Smith; great-grandson, Xavier Wunderlin; brother, Tim (Bob) Wunderlin.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd, Toledo, Ohio, where a Funeral Service will begin at 6:00 pm.
