Patricia M. Wade

May 1, 1938 — October 22, 2023

Patricia Mary Wade- age 85- was born to Ed and Laura (Mariea) Powers on May 1, 1938, has left this world to be with her God Jehovah on 10/22/2023 surrounded by her husband and her loving family. She died as she had lived with Grace and Dignity. She was a lifetime resident of Toledo, except for 14 years when she lived in Ottawa Lake, MI. She had attended St. Ursula Academy and graduated Valedictorian of her class. She spent 1½ years at Mary Manse College under a full scholarship.

At forty years old, she decided to seek employment which she found at the State of Ohio Motor Vehicles Bureau. Several years later she was offered a position at the Lucas County Jobs and Family Services where she attained and served as supervisor until her retirement in 2002.

After her retirement, she did many charitable works: helped serve the Senior Citizen's monthly luncheon at the Christ the King Church, where she was a member in good standing. She tutored for the Lucas County Library and helped at various positions with Rusty's House (a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in Toledo). She was a member of the "Red Hat Society". She loved to attend Authors-Authors, as she was an avid reader. She belonged to a book club and a bible study group at church. She always looked forward to her times at a nickel/dime slot machines in Las Vegas. She loved Hawaii, Europe and going on cruises. She always enjoyed making Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter an unforgettable occasion for us all. She was an extremely giving person and she will be greatly missed especially by her husband of 31 years, her family and her many friends and acquaintances. This earth was a better place for her having been here.

"She never failed to do her best, Her heart was true and tender; She toiled hard for those she loved And left them to remember. A loving person, kind and true, Her equal on this earth are few: A happy life, a peaceful end, She died as she lived, everybody's friend. If we had this world to give, We would give it and more; to see Her come walking through the door. For a person like Patricia, Should be tended with care; For you never know her value, Till you see her vacant chair."

TO MY WIFE: You were braver than you believed, stronger than you seem, smarter than you thought. You were Loved more than you know. If I could have given you one thing in Life, it would have been the ability to see yourself through my eyes, only then would you have realized how special you were to me. You were My Everything, You were My Gift from God, and my Soul Mate!

She is leaving behind her loving husband, James, four daughters: Theresa (Rich- Deceased) Kimberly, Amy (Rick) Marvin, Sally (Mike) Tyznik, and Kathleen (Bill) Crider; her cherished grandchildren: Steve (Stephanie) Reams, Ed (Mandy) Reams, Joe (Megan) Reams, Rusty James Marvin (deceased), Hailey (Justin) Conde, Adrienne (Brian) Halka, Adam Maier and Austin Crider; and her precious great-grandchildren: Skie and Gage Reams, Ayden and Zoey Reams, Ava Reams, Duke Conde and Harper Ann Halka.

She may be seen at Newcomer Funeral Home at 4150 W. Laskey Rd. on Sunday the 29th between 2:00 pm and 6pm; Funeral: Monday the 30th, prayer service at 9am at Newcomer Funeral Home, then moved to Christ the King Church 4100 Harvest Lane, there will be a short open casket viewing available, then the Funeral Mass; then moved to Resurrection Cemetery for the grave-site service. A gathering will be held at Christ the King Church following the grave-site service, food and beverages will be served.
