Louise (Hurst) Clark, 86, of Toledo, OH passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, peacefully at home. Louise was born at home on a mountain, in Pruden, KY on March 23, 1937. She was one of seven children born to Josephine and Arthur Hurst. She graduated from Pruden High School which was built on the Kentucky and Tennessee line; when she changed classes, she changed states. Louise moved to Toledo, OH after high school and worked at Libby Glass factory and as a Relator. She married Robert W. Clark on January 10, 1967.
She was a kind and loving person who loved her children and family dearly. She enjoyed music and playing the guitar and her ultimate favorite thing to do was to gather with the family and play music together. Louise and her husband, Bob, loved to travel out west where Bob would prospect for gold, and both enjoyed casinos.
Louise was a member of Athens Missionary Baptist Church and also attended the sister church, Old Fashion Baptist Church. She had a strong faith and great love for the Lord.
To cherish her memory, Louise is survived by her children, Roy Wayne (Kellie) Hutcheison and Josephine (Tom) Curtis; sister-in-law, Jewell Hurst; grandchildren, Roy (Rachael) Hutcheison, Kris (Heather) Hutcheison, Shane Curtis; 7 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Josephine Hurst; siblings, Edward (Frances) Hurst, Matilda (Carl) Swicegood, Eldin (Juanita) Hurst, Lois (Fate) Partin, Elmer Hurst, and Haley Hurst.
The family will receive guests on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Athens Missionary Baptist Church, 101 Breckman St, Walbridge, Ohio, where a Celebration of Louise's Life will be begin at 1:00 pm, officiated by Pastor David McGregor. Interment will immediately follow at Lake Township Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Hospice and Louise's special home care givers for their kind loving care. They were truly heaven sent.
