Ava Brooke Callahan

Ava Brooke Callahan, age 22, passed away unexpectedly on June 16, 2023. She is preceded in death by her father, Shawn Patrick Callahan. Ava is survived by her Mother, Jolene Watkins. Her Siblings Alexandria Pelcher, Gypsy Killeen and Eli Killeen. Grandparents, Deborah I Callahan, Vanné J Callahan and J. Patrick Callahan. Aunts Bridgit I Callahan, Cathy Gast, Annette Smith, Janet Ondresky, Jennifer Marsh, Barbara Roach. Uncles Dave Watkins Vern Watkins, Ski Plummer, Robert Watkins. Nieces: Ella Pelcher, Zhara France, Amelia Franco and Taryn I Callahan. Nephews, Teagan J Welch, Tyler J Welch and Tristan T. Welch.

Ava was born on Oct 18, 2000 in Rodgers, AR. Her formative years were spent in AR and OK. She graduated from Malvern [AR] and Ava came to Ohio to attend University of Toledo to study art. She completed her sophomore year. She was a very talented artist and was becoming interested in photography.
Ava's work was beautiful and unique. She was regarded as an "old soul" by many of those who knew and loved her. She loved and respected everyone and everything. She was a committed animal lover, including her dog, Breezy. Losing her father, 2 years ago, was difficult for her. Ava still kept going and had a smile on her face. She didn't let it stop her from reaching her goals. Ava was a beautiful person and she will truly be missed by all her family and friends.

There will be a service for Ava on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home-Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. Toledo (419-473-0300).
