Matthew Davis

Matthew "Matt" Davis, age 67, of Toledo, passed away Monday, May 1, 2023 at home. He was born on July 1, 1955 to W. Robert and Margaret (Cole) Davis in Toledo, OH. He graduated in 1974 from Whitmer High School. Matt worked for over 30 years in the paint shop at Jeep before retiring. He loved going to the beach, mountains and in his younger years enjoyed dancing, and going out with his sister and her husband. Matt often liked going to his family cottage at Lake Bartholomew and Lime Lake. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Davis; and step-father, Paul Langdon. Left to cherish Matt's memory are his loving mother, Margaret Langdon; daughters, Tamara (Eric) Lemle and Angie (Andy) Pooley; grandchildren, Cassidy Lemle, Christopher Lemle, Drew Buschmann, Nikole Buschmann, Devon Pooley and Emily Pooley; sisters, Michele (Dan) Grna and Lori McCune; brother-in-law, Jim McCune; nieces and nephews, Jimmy (Kelly) McCune, Marlene (Jason) Dolinar, Jenny (Joel) Thompson, Ben Grna and Laura Grna; and several great-nieces, great-nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
