Robert Edward Hamilton, Sr.

Robert Edward Hamilton, Sr. age 87, of Toledo, OH passed away April 21, 2023 at Ebeid Hospice Residence. He was born July 3, 1935 in Toledo to Nobel and Mary Clarice (Carrico) Hamilton. Bob was a Union Insulator employed with Local 45, he was a member of the Union for 64 years. He was a member of St Patrick's of Heatherdowns Church. Bob enjoyed fishing, bowling, watch racing and football and going to the Threshers convention. The greatest love of Bob's life was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and celebrating his birthday.

In addition to his parents, Bob was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Beverly Hamilton and sisters, Nancy Bettinger. Sue Flanagan and Ruthie Neyrinck. He is survived by his sons, Bobby (Lynne) Hamilton, Jr., Tom (Jeannie) Hamilton and Jim (Cindy) Hamilton; 7 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.

The family will receive guests Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900) where a Scripture Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, OH 43614. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church or ProMedica Hospice in Bob's memory.
