Melissa Annette Vaughn, 46 of Toledo, OH, went to be with her heavenly father on March 22, 2023 at UTMC.
She was born May 10, 1976 in Kokmo, IN to Kenneth and Vicky (Bone) Vaughn. She grew up a Navy Brat and lived in South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Italy, Florida, Virginia, Illinois, and Indiana before finally settling down in Toledo. She worked at various McDonalds. For leisure she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Melissa was preceeded in death by her son, Samuel Vaughn; grandmother, Mattie Ruth Vaughn; aunt, Darlene and grandfather, Ronald Bone.
She is survived by her son, Logan Vaughn; father, Kenneth (Deb) Vaughn; mother, Vicky Lee Engels; grandfather, Jesse Vaughn; aunts and uncles, siblings, Cheryl (Ian) Ivan and Robert (Heather) Vaughn; nieces and nephews, RaeAnna (children, Dayton and Junior), Kalynn (James) Moody (children, Eli and Izzy), Ryan (child, Liam), Amy (child, Addy), Allison (child, David Sean), Mackenzie and a host of family and friends.
The family will receive guests Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Memorial Services will begin Sunday at 4:00 pm at the funeral home.
Reception will be family and close friends at Monclova Rd Baptist Church, 7819 Monclova Rd. Monclova, OH 43542 in building A.
