William Mitchell

William (Bill) D. Mitchell, 78, of Maumee Ohio passed away at home, Monday, February 20th, 2023. Bill was born on July 7th, 1944 in Toledo, Ohio to Bernard A. and Esther J. (Weinberger) Mitchell. Bill graduated from Clay High School and proudly served in the United States Air Force. He worked in Sheet Metal most of his life as a member of Toledo's Local 33 until he retired and was also an avid Blacksmith and a member of NOB.

Bill was known for his reliable smile and positive, genuine personality. He was quick to help anyone in need and truly cherished his friends and family. Bill would tell people that his "boss was a Jewish Carpenter" and he enjoyed sharing his love of Jesus with everyone.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife Janet E. (Kondash) Mitchell, his parents and his 5 brothers. Bill is survived by his son, David (Amy) Mitchell and his daughter, Jeanean (Bryan ) Perkey. He dearly loved and is also survived by his grandsons, Justin Mitchell, Drew (Hannah) Weber, Ryan Summers, Jace Perkey; Great-grandson, Sterling Mitchell and his granddaughters, Shannon Mitchell and Jema Perkey.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, March 25th, 2023 from 12:00 pm -2:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions- Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, Ohio 43614, with a pastoral led eulogy at 2:00 pm.
