James R. Mickey

James R. Mickey, age 54, passed away March 5, 2023. Beloved son of Pat (the late Edward) Hulak and the late Jim (still living, Ann) Mickey. Cherished father of Jackie Emch. Loving grandfather of Ellie, Hudson, and Houston Grimm. Adored brother of John (Vickie) Mickey, Christopher (Donna) Mickey, Scott Hulak, Annie (Andy "Buck") Sergent, Kim Mills, Chris (Krystal) Hiser. Treasured uncle of Alex Mickey, Aaron Mickey, Keith Mickey, Jacob Mickey, Kaitlyn Zigulis, Jakob Zigulis, Kristin Martin, and John Mills.

James served in the United States Navy. He worked for Toledo Blank and most currently, a member of Insulators Local 45, here in Toledo, OH. He spent his time playing golf, bowling and shooting pool with friends and family. James was a selfless and kind man to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his family members and friends.

Any donation can be made in James' honor to Greater Northwest Ohio Diabetes Association.

A visitation will be held in James' honor on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Southwest Chapel at 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo, OH 43614.

James will be laid to rest by his family at a later date.
