Roger A. Ammerman, age 62, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on January 21, 2023. He was born on February 27, 1960, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Richard and Jacqueline (DuBry) Ammerman.
Roger graduated from Waite High School. He proudly served in the United States Army, in which during that time, he had done some classes and became a military trained electrician. Following the military, Roger worked as an electrician in the last 40 years, most recently at Automatic Handling International.
Roger was a Lego master who enjoyed fishing, traveling, and riding his motorcycles. Most of all, family was everything; he absolutely adored his family! He kept them together and was "the best of them". His smile, love, and wonderful personality will forever be missed. This isn't goodbye, it's we will see you later…
Those left to forever cherish his memory are his loving siblings, Richard (Carmen) Ammerman Sr., Ronald (Shelly) Ammerman, Randy (Patricia) Ammerman, Denise (Charles) Dorn, Carol (James Sr.) Sheriff, and Laurie (Marty) Maenle; children, Steff Marie, Nate, and Zak; grandchildren, Vanessa, Steven, Marie, and Zak Jr.; nieces and nephews, Cory, Lucas, Madison, Kristen, Matthew, Todd, Mallory, Bradley, Emily, Leonard, Charles Woody, Jacqueline, Cassandra, Christopher (his godson), Andrew, and Samantha; numerous great nieces and nephews; and best friend, Venita LaBarr.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and beloved pet, Mirs.
Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, Ohio, 43614, on Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Friday, January 27, 2023, from 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at the funeral home, at 11:30 am.
Roger will be laid to rest at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
