Virgil Cline Bates, III, 47, of Toledo, went to be with the Lord on January 7, 2023 after a battle with brain cancer. Virgil was born July 24, 1975 in Toledo to Virgil and Becky (Reed) Bates.
After graduating from Whitmer High School, he went on to continue his education at Michigan State. In October 2007, Virgil met the love of his life, Heather Jean Bates. They married in August of 2009 and shared 16 years of love and memories together.
Virgil loved spending time at home with his three cats and dog and loved all sports. He was a huge Michigan and Dallas Cowboys fan, but Whitmer High School Football had his heart the most. Virgil started his own business in 2018 in HVAC and was very successful at doing so. He was a man whom took pride in his work and was good at what he did. Virgil had a love for 80's and 90's rock music and his all time favorite band was Boston. He truly was a good man and will be missed by many.
