Carol Rachael Yvonne (Whitt) Kujawski, wife of Rev. Lewis Kujawski, went to be with her Lord Monday, January 9, 2023, at Ebeid Hospice, surrounded by her family and Pastor Tonya Kelly. Carol was born in Toledo, Ohio December 5, 1935 to Ronald and Ruby Whitt.
She graduated from Maumee High School and attended Anderson College briefly, and earned her PHT - Putting Hubby Through. She met Lewis Kujawski as a junior in High School; they married five years later in 1956. She was a Medical Secretary at Riverside Hospital in Toledo, and at several hospitals while her husband attended Anderson Seminary. Carol served in bi-vocational ministry in the Church of God.
Carol was a talented seamstress, making her own wedding dress, and those of four bridesmaids and flower girl. She made a lot of the children's clothing, and taught her 2 daughters to sew when they were young. She was a medical secretary, she loved to cook delicious meals, often entertaining families from church. Having 10 or 12 at the table was not unusual - she thought the more the better.
She was devoted to serving the Lord, and was a Sunday school teacher and Missions leader both in the local church and on the state level. When her husband pastored in Indiana and Illinois, she became State Mission Leader. In Evansville, their church was second in Per Capita missions giving in Indiana, and in St. Elmo, first in Per Capita missions giving in Illinois. She was faithful and loving to her husband and children, and always kept Christ first in the home. Her life can best be described by giving, loving, and serving. She never desired extravagance, and was always overly generous in giving and serving.
She is preceded in death by her son Ricky; parents Ronald and Ruby Whitt, and by 9 brothers and sisters: Dwight , Vesper, Harold, Opal Hines, Vermelda Howell, Esther Symington, Georgia Favors, Patti Manton, and Ronnie Diller.
