Marie Rose Wheatley

Marie Rose (Grove) Wheatley was born in Toledo, Ohio on May 12, 1946. She was raised by her great aunt Mae Latham. She graduated in 1964 from Scott High School, and The University of Toledo in 1983. She worked at St. Anthony Villa and Hills Department Store. She retired from Lucas County Headstart, as a Social Worker, in 2011 after dedicating 25 years.

Marie was preceded in death by her son Loren R. Wheatley, Jr. great aunt, Mae Latham; sisters, Christine Yarger, Virginia Cousino; brothers, Leonard Zepanoff, Robert Grove, Richard Grove and Jimmie Grove; maternal and paternal grandparents, aunts, uncles, loyal companions Bailey and Sammy. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Loren R. "Larry" Wheatley, Sr.; sons, Timothy A. Wheatley and Robert D. (Dawn) Wheatley; daughter in law, Kim Wheatley; grandchildren, Shane (Jordan) Wheatley, Alexis (Chase) Bauders, Erika and Chaz Wheatley; great grandchildren, Harper Wheatley and Charlie Bauders; sister, Peggy Grove, Betty (Richard) Krerowicz; sister in laws, Vicky and Becky Grove; brother in law, Mickey Yarger; a host of family and friends.

The family will receive guests Friday, January 6, 2023 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

The family invites all to join them for a Luncheon, after procession to the cemetery, at Faith Baptist Church, 232 N. McCord Road Toledo, Ohio 43615
