Terry Dean Barry, 76, of Toledo, OH, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Kingston Care Center of Sylvania. He was a proud Air Force veteran, devoted friend, beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Born to Joan Barry, Terry graduated from Whitmer High School and went on to become a custodian for the Sylvania School District where he met the love of his life, Kay, who became his wife. They were together for over thirty-five years.
Terry was best known for his quick-witted humor and generous spirit. Terry was a dedicated Southview coach, fan, and staunch supporter of Whitmer High School and Sylvania Southview athletics. His hobbies included golfing, painting/drawing, and cheering on his favorite team, The Ohio State Buckeyes. Many that came to visit him at home were welcomed by "The Ohio State Shoe" mural Terry painted on the garage. His passion for art continued through retirement where he spent much of his time learning and creating at For the Love of Art in Sylvania.
He is survived by his wife, Kay; brother, Rob (Sandra) Rieger; and sister, Sandra Long; sons, Matthew (Erin) Barry, Bill (Lisa) Noon, Mike (Julie) Noon; five grandchildren, Jacob (Kirstin), Danielle, Kayla, Cooper, Sydney; great-grandson, Nico Noon; and nephew, Mark (Karen) McAtee.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 11, 4:00-7:30 p.m. at Keith and Chris Incorvaia's Bene Italiano, 4751 Monroe St., Toledo, OH.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Sylvania Southview Athletics.
