In loving memory of, Dean "Brooklyn" Taylor, who passed away peacefully in his home on October 19, 2022. He was a devoted son and loving father. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Born March 7, 1963, in Toledo, Ohio to Shirley Taylor and Henry Perry, Dean was a tenacious and curious soul. Dean was fiercely passionate about music, sports, family, and support for anyone in need.
After graduating from Libbey High School, he attended the University of Toledo for a short time. Dean worked in the areas of factory and construction. Early on he accepted Jesus Christ and played drums and sang for Canaan and Southern Baptist Churches.
Dean had a passion for all types of music, motorcycles, sports, and adventure. He was a DJ and avid drum player. If there was one thing Dean was, that was determined…no matter what the challenge or activity, he gave his all to ensure he exceeded all expectations for himself or others.
He brought a bounty of joy to every event he attended with energy, his smile, and love. He had a remarkable way of connecting with people, sharing himself and somehow becoming the photographer. Even just sitting on the porch with him turned into a fun time with family and friends.
Dean was preceded in death by his father Henry Perry, and son Demond Taylor. He is survived by his loving mother, Shirley Taylor; sister, Lynette Warfield (Vada); brother, Henry C.(Tracy) Perry; daughters, Dean'Na Taylor, Delicious Taylor; sons, Dean Taylor Jr., DeAnthony Maurice Taylor, De'Von Taylor, Delvon Taylor; grandchildren, Trayon Taylor, Tae'juan Taylor, David Taylor, Armoni Taylor; and a host of cousins and childhood friends.
