Marie Ruth (Byersmith) Carl

Marie Ruth (Byersmith) Carl went to be with our Lord on September 15, 2022, she was 88 years old.
Marie was born on February 3, 1934 in Toledo, Ohio, to Fred and Evelyn (Toska) Byersmith. She married Richard Carl Sr. on April 4, 1959.
Marie attended Central Catholic High School and then entered the Mercy School of Nursing in 1956 to become a registered nurse in 1958. She devoted her career to the Medical College of Toledo and worked with Drs. Walter and Dorinda Shelley.
Marie was especially proud of her two granddaughters, Alison and Madeline who also became RN's following in her footsteps. Marie was a very kind hearted person and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Carl; daughter-in-law, Maryanne (Sullivan) Carl; granddaughters, Alison (Ben) Faggionato and Madeline Smith and four great grandchildren; brothers, Paul (Terry) Byersmith, Pete (Sharon) Byersmith. Marie was preceded in death by her father, Fred Sr., mother, Evelyn; husband, Richard Sr.; son, Richard Carl, Jr.; brothers, Fred Jr., Robert and William; and sisters, Margaret (Buehler) and Virginia (Taraschke).

The family will receive guests, Friday, September 23, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Newcomer SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Prayers will begin Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns, Catholic Church, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo 43614. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
