Charlotte Williams, 86, of Toledo, Ohio went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 9, 2022. She was born on September 3, 1935, in Paden City, West Virginia to Fred and Mabel Bell, and was raised by her loving aunt and uncle, Gertrude and Ray Rockwell, all of whom preceded her in death. She had six siblings, all of whom have also passed.
She graduated from Paden City High School in 1954. She married Donald Lee Martin in November 1957, and Norman Williams in May 1966, both of whom preceded her in death.
Charlotte worked as a grocery store cashier and other occupations, but her primary occupation was as a homemaker, which she enjoyed. She was an active member of the Fremont, Ohio Church of Christ.
Charlotte is survived by five children, Debra Martin of Toledo, Donna Martin Seed (Edward) of Toledo, Steven Martin (Jeannie) of Piqua, Ohio, Doug Martin (Caroline) of Toledo, and David Williams of Findlay, Ohio. She is survived by six grandchildren – Matthew Warner, Jordan Martin, Liz Mobley Stevens, Kayla Williams, Zachary Kaney, and Micah Williams. She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Steven Martin, Jr. (Erica) of Sidney, Ohio. Charlotte had 9 great grandchildren – Aliveah, Braylon and Ariah Warner, Avonell, Kimberlin and Damien Martin, Liliona and Willie Stevens, and Mary Landry.
A viewing and reception will be held at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300), from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2022.
Charlotte was a passionate animal lover, and the family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Another Chance Animal Sanctuary, c/o Paw Patch Veterinary Services, 1800 West McPherson Hwy., Clyde, OH 43410.
