Sharon M. Errington

Sharon Marie Errington, age 83, of Toledo, OH, passed away May 17, 2022. Sharon was born September 20, 1938 in Toledo, OH, to George and Rita (Gray) Moore. She graduated from Mercy School of Nursing in 1959 and began working as a Public Health Nurse for the city of Toledo. After her children were born she volunteered as a school nurse and later took a permanent position as a school nurse at Notre Dame Academy, where she worked for more than 20 years.

Sharon was a member of Al-Anon for more than 40 years and was a parishioner at St. Joseph Church Maumee. Sharon was very generous with her time with her children and found it in her heart to accept her children's pets, including dogs, a horse and a cardinal as family. Sharon was very family oriented and proud of her Irish heritage, enjoying her many camping trips, travels to Mackinaw, MI for vacation and her huge family reunions, where she enjoyed reminiscing with her cousins about their childhood.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Dale Errington, Sr., and son, Dale Errington, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Kim (Matt) VanderHooven and Colleen (Bill) Weaver; son, Kevin Errington; daughter-in-law, Ranee Errington; grandchildren, Hunter, Nathan (Hannah), and Elizabeth.

The family will receive guests, Tuesday, May 24, 2022 from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Church Maumee. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Notre Dame Academy Scholarship in Sharon's memory.
