Shirley A. Fritch, age 87, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Ridgewood Manor. She was born on August 26, 1934 to Robert and Edith (Tussing) Scouten in Toledo. Shirley lived at Luther Crest for the last 22 years where she made many friends, enjoyed being independent and helping others within their community. She attended Gateway Baptist Church and Westside Community Church for many years. Shirley loved and wrote poetry. Shirley enjoyed creative dancing and home renovation concepts. Shirley was an excellent homemaker and loved nothing more than taking care of her family. Her smile, spirit and caring nature will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Joseph Robert Fritch; first husband, Joseph Andrew Fritch, Jr.; second husband, Joseph Ralph Orner; step-dad, Harry Butz; and great-grandson, Camden Joseph Fritch. Left to cherish Shirley's memory are her loving children, Danial (Kristin) Fritch, Bryan (Marie) Fritch, Joel (Norma) Fritch and Stacie Fritch; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; brother, David Butz; niece, Brooke Best; and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Gateway Baptist Church, 6045 Dorr St., Toledo 43615 with Funeral Services beginning at 12:00 p.m. in church. Interment will be private in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
