William "Bill" F. Eady, age 90, passed away January 19, 2022. He was born February 1, 1931 in Mineola, NY to William and Daisy (Carlson) Eady. Throughout his life, Bill lived in various places, including Virginia, Michigan, Illinois, Florida, Connecticut and New Jersey. Most recently, he was a resident of Toledo where he made a home for the past 33 years.
Bill had an adventurous and happy spirit; he enjoyed fishing, boating and he was a licensed pilot. Bill had a knack for fixing, building and woodworking. He enjoyed listening to classical and jazz music as well as attending live theater performances. His love for visiting family and friends took him on numerous cross-country road trips. Bill proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. Throughout his career, Bill was a project manager for numerous construction companies, including his biggest project which was building the 747 Hangars at JFK Airport in New York. He also owned and operated several small business and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Toledo.
Bill was a Christian and affirmed his faith and trust in God during his life. His family and friends will remember him as a warm and charming personality who lit up a room with his trademark greeting: "How do you do!"
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Eleanor (Pat) Eady; daughter, Deirdre Broderick; and step-son, Jeff Delano.
Left to cherish Bill's memory are his children, Daryl Eady, David Eady, Dale (Gene) Bloxsom and step-daughter, Jennifer (Joshua) Shultz; along with many grand and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive guests Friday, January 28, 2022 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900) with Funeral Services immediately following in the funeral home.
