Michael R. Burling

Michael R. "Mike" Burling, age 73, of Sylvania Township, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. He was born on December 21, 1947 to Herman and Vivian (Teneyck) Burling in Bucyrus, OH. Mike was very proud to obtain his Associates Degree in Engineering from Owens Community College. He worked for Crown, Cork and Seal for over 30 years as a machinist and tool and die maker before retiring. Mike enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was an inventor and invented his own line of archery equipment. Mike looked forward to having deep conversations and debate with others. His smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Vickie Burling; grandson, Daniel Lampkin; and brother, Kenneth Burling. Left to cherish Mike's memory are his loving children, Jennifer (Joe) Linnenkugel, Greg Lampkin and Bill (Karin) Lampkin; grandchildren, Trevor, Kendall, Chase, Bryan (Hannah), Adam, Nathan and Elizabeth; great-granddaughter, Graelyn; brother, Randy Burling; and many other family members and dear friends.

Services for Mike will be private.
