George McGee, age 71, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo. He was born on April 2, 1950, in Waynesboro, Tennessee, to the late Lloyd McGee and Norma Jean Perry.
A very talented artist, George enjoyed creating beautiful art pieces; a few of them being, wood canes and clay sculptures. He would enjoy taking walks in the woods with his dog, Buster. One of his favorite trips he enjoyed doing was taking a trip to Kenton, Ohio, to the Coon Dog Nationals, with the men in his family; they would make it a boys trip. Family was his life; he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. George will truly be missed by all who knew him.
Those left to forever cherish his memory are his four children, Monica McGee, Melissa (Adam) Crammon, Travis McGee, and Brayden McGee; six grandchildren, Justin, Alyssa, Ava, Addyson, Azley, and Calihan; and his ex-wife of 38 years and mother of his children, Gloria McGee-Lorenzo, whom he stayed friends with after their divorce.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his step-father, Jack Perry, who raised him like his own.
A special thank you to Merrit House for the loving care over the years. Their compassion and support will never be forgotten.
