Joshua Pierce

Joshua "Josh" Pierce, age 42, of Toledo, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at home. He was born on June 16, 1978 to Earl and Kathleen (Kuhl) Pierce in Toledo. Josh graduated from Springfield High School in 1996. Known to many of his friends as "Porklips", he had a great sense of humor, was a very loyal friend and could make anyone laugh. Josh was a diehard football fan, especially of The Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns. He was a passionate artist and loved to draw. Josh was a selfless soul with a caring heart. He loved nothing more than his family, the love he had for them was fierce. Josh adored his oldest nephew Tristan, and he idolized his uncle right back. His smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved Josh.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Betty and Eugene Kuhl; Earl E. Pierce, Sr., Marilyn (Pierce) Barker and John Barker. Left to cherish Josh's memory are his parents, Earl "Bud" and Kathy Pierce; brothers, Ryan (Chelsea), Andrew (Vanessa) and Phillip Pierce; nephews, Tristan and Troy; nieces, Tenley and Tori; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Rd., Toledo, OH 43617 (419-392-9500). (For the safety of the Pierce family and their guests, masks are required with social distancing).
