Diane M. "Dee" Ramirez, age 57, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. She was born on June 4, 1962 to Julian and Adeline Rodriguez in Toledo. Dee was employed at Seaway Marketplace for almost 20 years. She loved to dance and listen to music; first one on the dance floor, last one to leave. Dee was an excellent cook and known for her tamales. She was a passionate cake decorator. Dee enjoyed playing bingo, gardening and taking day trips with her family. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family and grandchildren. Dee was very giving, putting everyone before herself and helping anyone in need. She had a sense of humor that will be everlasting, always giving everyone a nickname. Dee's smile, spirit and caring nature will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Rodriguez; and daughter, Dolores "Lola" Ramirez. Dee is survived by her loving children, Sherae (Ali Joumaa) Rodriguez, Jacqueline (Jason Burns) Rodriguez, Amie (Roberto) Avelar and Julio (Kristie) Ramirez; grandchildren, Anthony, Savanna, Estevan, Amir, Bobby, Lexus, Jasmine, Valencia, Breanna, Ricky and Juan; great-grandchildren, Josiah, Amena, August, Analicia, Alejandro, Ricardo, Angelo, Juanito Jr.; siblings, Sylvia (Robert) Lewis and Julian (Heather) Rodriguez; niece and nephews, Faith, Dylan, Amri and Chris (Courtney); former spouse and friend, Julio (Larnene Davis) Ramirez; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer – West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Rd., Toledo (419-392-9500) with a Scripture Service and Sharing of Memories at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
