Sharon L. Engel

Sharon L. Engel, age 78, of Neapolis, OH, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Indian Meadows Nursing Home of Wauseon surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 7, 1941 to George and Alliene (Miller) Barkhimer in Toledo. Sharon worked at Whitehouse Country Manor as a cook. She enjoyed being at home and taking care of her family. Sharon will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Rosemary Presley, Barbara Disher, Margret Barner; and brother, Kenneth Barkhimer. Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Ronald Engel Sr.; children, Ronald Jr. (Lisa), Mark, Gary (Cheryl) and Kevin Engel; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Bob (Irene) Barkhimer, and Beverly Glenn; sister-in-law, Edith Naomi (Ken) Shave; and canine companion, Buddy.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer – Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900) with Funeral Services beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
