Raymond Dean Brown, age 70, passed away on October 23, 2018. He was born on June 1, 1948 to the late Lorece and Horatious Brown in Toledo, Ohio.
Ray retired from the Lucas County Sheriff's Dept. as Sgt. after 30 years of dedicated service. He owned and operated Great Lakes Security and Private Investigations, Inc. Ray was a veteran of the Air Force. He was an avid golfer and fisherman.
Left to cherish his memory is his devoted wife of 27 years, Rose M.; daughter, Angela M. (James) Smith; siblings, Horatious (Marjorie) Brown and Linda Brown-Ewing; sister-in-law, Charlotte Hoskins; brother-in-law, Shedrick (Shella) Pinkney; nieces and nephews, Horatious (Natasha) Brown, Marcy (Ernest) Walker, Vanessa Ewing, Jessica (Franklin) Russell; very special friend, Victor "Monie" Green; a host of other loving family members and friends.
The visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home – SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place at the Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
