Barbara M. Brenneman closed her blue eyes on September 17, 2018 and flew to the peace and serenity of Heaven where her husband Ralph awaited her. She was born September 2, 1941 in Windsor Ontario, Canada.
Her laughter will echo in our hearts forever. Barb was such a kind, generous person who brought comfort and joy to the lives she touched. She cherished her family and friends and entertaining and feeding them. Barb's potato salad and jello poke cake are in the hall of fame somewhere. She loved playing board games, dice, cards, bunco and bingo. Barb lovingly spent hours in the boat and on the shore fishing with Ralph. She is immortalized in the Red Hat Society, 55 + Club, Eleanor Kahle Senior Center, Hospice and Girl Scouts of America for the many events she planned and volunteered for.
Barb's love of people served her well in her service to others while working at Toledo Hospital and her years of selling Avon, Tupperware and Home Interiors. There are not enough words to express who she was and all that she did between birth and death, but those who knew her felt her warmth and love.
Left to hold her dearly in their hearts forever are daughters, Suzanne (Ted) Ziegler, Tina (Lee Miles) Kluczynski and Karen (Dave) Gerbi; grandchildren, Justin Ziegler, Brittany, Madeline and Jacob Kluczynski, and Ashley, Alex, and Marissa Gerbi; 3 siblings; and many other family members and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, and recently her loving husband of 56 years, Ralph.
The family will receive guests on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 5 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
