Timothy Dale Smith

Timothy D. "Tim" Smith, age 71, of Toledo, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018 in Zanesville, Ohio due to injuries sustain in a motorcycle accident. He was born on January 24, 1947 to Richard and Anna Mae (Walsh) Smith in Toledo. Tim was a graduate of Whitmer High School and for most of his life he was a skilled carpenter, having worked for Flower Hospital for over 30 years. Most recently he worked for Ondrus Hardware and was a member of the local Carpenter's Union. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to family and friends if they needed something built or repaired. When Tim wasn't working, he enjoyed traveling with his motor home, riding his motorcycle and his winter life in Largo, FL. He also enjoyed the camaraderie with his friends at VFW 2898, his Ondrus Hardware family and spending time with his brother, Tom.

Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Delbert (Josie) Smith, Tom Smith and Lucille (Chuck) Hoffman; grandchildren, Sean Jr., Samuel, Skylar and Peyton; precious great-grandchildren; former spouse and friend, Sandy Smith and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his only son, Sean T. Smith, Sr.; siblings, Richard Smith and Clarice Burkard.

The family will receive guests on Friday, August 31, 2018 from 2-5:00 p.m. at Newcomer - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with his Funeral Service beginning at 5:00 p.m.
