James H. Dennis

James H. "Jim" Dennis, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Kingston Residence of Perrysburg. He was born on August 21, 1930 to Louis and Dolores Dennis in Fostoria, Ohio. Jim was a graduate of John Carroll University and proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a long time member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish where he was an usher and Jim was also a member of the Ohio Association of Parliamentarians - Maumee Valley Unit. He retired from Tarta after 12 years of service and he enjoyed leisure time at home.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Paul, Pat (Tina), Peter and Phil Dennis; grandchildren, Michael and Mallory; siblings, Louis Jr., Ginny (Ron) and Mike (Lynn). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Dennis; siblings, Dick and Tom.

The family will receive guests on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 4-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home - NW Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with a Scripture Service at 6:30 p.m. His Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 4555 N. Haven Ave., Toledo, OH 43612 where there will be visitation in the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. Rev. Francis J. Speier officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
