Harry Eugene "Gene" Hagerman, Jr. passed away peacefully at the age of seventy-three on March 24, 2018, in Port Charlotte, FL, owing to complications associated with metastatic melanoma.

Gene was born in Decatur, IL, on October 18, 1944, the son of Kathryn and Harry Hagerman, Sr., of Clinton, IL. A graduate of Clinton High School, Class of 1962, he was a talented athlete lettering in both basketball and football. Upon retirement in 2002, Gene and his late wife, Kathleen "Casey" Conway Hagerman, moved to The Villages, FL, where they enjoyed swimming, golfing, and socializing with their many friends at Glenview Country Club.

Following Casey's passing, Gene married Madonna Bruhl of Punta Gorda, FL in 2014. Together they loved traveling to see family and friends in California and Ohio and also abroad to Europe. Gene had a loving and magnetic personality. He never knew a stranger!
