Janet A. Ward

Janet A. "Jan" Ward, age 79, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Monday, January 15, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. She was born February 3, 1938 to Webster and Mayola (LaMont) Yoder in Toledo. Jan enjoyed cooking, gardening, dancing, baseball and taking casino trips with husband. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Jan will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to parents she was preceded in death by her infant son, T.J. Ward; and brother, Jess Yoder. Jan is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Thomas Ward; children, Matthew (Peggy) Ward, Rebecca (Mike) Casteels and Jonathan (Melissa) Ward; grandchildren, Amber (Scott), Aaron, Michael, Nathan, Patrick and Jonathan; great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Jack and Karmyn; and many other dear family and friends.

The family will receive guests on Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Memorial Services will begin Monday, January 22, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.

Those wishing to make memorial contributions in honor of Jan are asked to consider the Toledo Humane Society or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
