Vickie Lynn Burling, age 67, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Friday, January 12, 2018 at Ebeid Hospice, Sylvania with her loving family by her side. She was born December 6, 1950 in Toledo. Vickie retired from Sylvania Schools as a bus driver after 20 plus years of service. Nine years ago, she had a lung transplant and since then lived her life to the fullest as if every day was her last. Vickie enjoyed cooking, spending time with family and friends, traveling to Florida, going to the casino and taking day trips whenever possible. Her selfless giving nature could only be topped by God's grace. Vickie's smile lit up a room wherever she went, she will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. She loved nothing more than time spent with her grandchildren, they were her world.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leland Geiser; grandson, Daniel Lampkin; and grandparents, Emery and Virgie Fraley. Vickie is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Michael Burling; children, Bill (Karin) Lampkin, Greg Lampkin and Jennifer (Joe) Linnenkugel; grandchildren, Bryan (Hannah), Trevor, Adam, Kendall, Chase, Nathan and Libby; mother, Naomi Geiser; sister, Alvena (Tom) Archambeau; and many other family members and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
