Tom Dille, age 80, of Sylvania, passed away peacefully December 20, 2017 in his home. Tom was born July 6, 1937 in Toledo to John and Lucille (Seguin) Dille. He was a proud Waite Indian graduate, class of 1956, where he was the football student manager. He proudly served his country for four years in the US Army. He was employed with Toledo Scale for 28 years and Schindler Elevator, before retiring from Toledo Hospital in 2001. Tom and Joan enjoyed their retirement in Florida and returned to the Toledo area in 2008 to be with family.
He was a friend of Bill W. for 34 years, an accomplishment he was very proud of.
He was the drummer in his bands The Instrumentalists and Sounds Great. He played for many weddings and parties through the years.
He loved classic country music and watching westerns on TV, the Cincinnati Reds and The Ohio State Buckeyes.
He is survived by his children, Tom (Karen) Dille, Jr., Connie M. (Don) Reeder, Robin L. (Guy) Ramm, and Barbara A. Dille; sister, Mary Ellen Parker; 6 grandchildren, John (Jenica) Dille, Matt (Kelly Monahan) Dille, Ashlee Reeder, Drew Ramm, Seth Ramm, and Piper Gonzalez and 4 great grandchildren, Laine Brubaker, Jack Dille, Lina Dille, and Silas Ramm and one on the way.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 52 years, Joan L. Dille; brother, James Dille, and sister Lorene Giffin.
The family will receive guests Saturday, December 23, 2017 from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Newcomer - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 3:00 pm. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Northwest Ohio in Tom's memory.
