Anthony K. Lewis Jr. passed away unexpectedly at home, on October 23, 2017. He was born June 30, 1979 to Tony and Sue Lewis in Toledo, Ohio.
Anthony was a talented musician playing in local bands such as Goin' Nowhere, Box Lunch, and Accidental Fifth. He was an avid fisherman, going fishing at the Maumee River. He would hunt with his Dad and Uncle Eric every chance he had. Anthony enjoyed drawing, painting, welding and putting his creative talent to use. He was extremely handy, being able to fix anything and tinkering in his garage. Anthony was known for having an adventurous spirit being involved in events such as The New Year's Day Polar Bear Plunge and competing in the 2009 Toughman Contest in Toledo, where he was awarded runner up. He enjoyed supporting his kids in various activities including Anthony Wayne Marching Generals, Cheer, Ninja Warrior fun, going to the Toledo Zoo and attending Art Shows.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, of 17 years, Michelle; children, Anthony, Kaitlyn and Allison; special fur babies, Macy and Norman; parents, Tony and Sue; siblings, Matthew, Jason (Jessica), and Amanda; grandmother, Peggy Lewis; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, friends and special Godson Karter Jay.
Preceding Anthony in death are his Toot and Nana, Mearl and Eva Futrel; grandfather, Lester Lewis; uncle, Mike Lewis.
The family will be receiving guests Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419 381 1900). Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 30, 2017 at Little Flower Catholic Church, 5522 Dorr Street in Toledo, with Mass starting at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Whitehouse Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions can be made to the family for funeral expenses.
