Marilyn P. (Roberts) Dye, age 75, of Toledo, unexpectedly passed away September 29, 2017 at The Toledo Hospital. Marilyn was born March 29, 1942 in Corbin, Kentucky to Dr. O. L. and Lowell (Smith) Ballou. She attended Cumberland College and then later in life went back to school, obtaining her nursing license.
She and her late husband, Bill, enjoyed being snowbirds traveling between Lebanon, Ohio and Palmetto, Florida. There she enjoyed preparing for and attending her craft shows. She also enjoyed shopping and dining on Anna Marie Island with her girlfriends. Recently, she spent her summers with family in Toledo, Ohio where she enjoyed playing cards and visiting with friends at the Sylvania Senior Center. She was an avid reader, loved to sew and enjoyed searching for bargains at estate sales.
She is survived by her children, Steve (Lilli) Roberts, Kim (Rick) Emery, Michael (Amy) Roberts, sister, Deborah Ballou and her grandchildren, Joey Roberts, Lexy Roberts, Matt Roberts, Chris Emery, Sarah Emery, Johnny Roberts and Amanda Roberts. She is also survived by extended family in Corbin, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Dye; her parents and sister Phyllis Fleig.
There will be a graveside service at 12:30 p.m., Friday October 6, 2017 at Turtle Creek Cemetery, Lebanon, Ohio. Newcomer Funeral Home (419-473-0300) is assisting the family.
