Linda passed away peacefully at home with family on Monday, March 27, 2017.
Linda was born the youngest of six siblings in 1937 to Ray and Della (Umbaugh) Strong in Springfield, Ohio. The family later moved to Toledo, where she met the love of her life and husband of 54 years, William. The couple were married on September 24, 1955 and had 2 children, William Jr. and Laura.
Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, going out to eat and traveling with her husband, including many trips to Las Vegas, which is where they renewed their vows on September 24, 1996.
She will be most remembered for her big heart, giving nature, laugh, love of Christmas, but most of all love for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Della; sisters, Leatha, Reatha, Joan and Carolyn; also her husband, William Sr.; son, William Jr.; and grandson, Brad Brenneman. Linda is survived by her brother, Rex Strong, Sr.; daughter, Laura (Kevin) Neilly; daughter-in-law, Janice; granddaughter, Krystal (James) Ball; grandsons, Kevin (Niki) Neilly, Shay (Jessica) Neilly and Bryan (Blair) Brenneman; great-grandkids, Ireland, Isla, Landon, Easton, Carmen and Leah; her loving dog, Angel; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive guests on Monday from 3 – 5:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Memorial Services at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
