Joan C. Farthing, age 82, of Maumee, Ohio passed away October 3, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was born April 16, 1934 in Toledo, Ohio to Glenn and Alice (Ruble) Hoover.
Joan is survived by her husband of 63 years, Richard Farthing; daughters, Betsy Farthing, Bobbi Galbraith and Peggy Farthing; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean Myers and Sandra (Nick) O'Hara. In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her brother, Glenn Hoover, Jr. and sister, Geraldine (Dodie) Archambeau.
The family will receive guests Friday, October 7, 2016 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Maumee.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Make-A-Wish in Joan's memory.
