Lila L. Johnson, age 78, went to be with the Lord on August 17, 2016. She was born on March 20, 1938 to the late Servernia and Don Wells in Defiance, Ohio.
Lila loved knitting and shopping. She enjoyed going on cruises with her family and friends, especially to Alaska and the Caribbean. Lila adored her granddaughters and loved taking them shopping for their birthdays and Christmas. She collected Mickey Mouse memorabilia everywhere she went. Lila was a devout Christian and an active member of Cedar Creek-Whitehouse.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving and devoted husband of 56 years, Duwayne; son, David (Holly); grandchildren, Melanie and Elizabeth; brother-in-law, Woody (Stephanie); best friend, Barb Lamanna and her daughters, Maria and Betsy. Lila was preceded in death by her daughter, Alyssa and brother, Jack (June) Wells.
The family will receive guests from 4-8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 22, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900).
The Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East in Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Heartland Hospice or The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
