Richard G. Zingg

December 26, 1935 — July 30, 2016

Richard G. Zingg, age 80, of Toledo passed away on July 30, 2016. Richard was born in Toledo to John & Margaret (George) Zingg. He was a retired 59 yr. member of Local 8 IBEW Electrician's Union. He was an avid reader, loved to travel and spent his winters in Florida. He was a dedicated Detroit Lions and Tiger fan, horse racing, especially the Derby. A graduate of Devilbis H.S. he went on to pursue a career in the trade industry. He loved to tinker and fix things around the house. A generous man with a quick wit, he loved to laugh and spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory, is his daughter, Tina (Mark) Mathews, step-son, Gale Ward, best friend and love of his life, Pearl Manion, grandchildren, Angela (Chad) Gasiorowski, Brian Zingg, Rachael (Alex) Gorney, Mark Mathews, II, great grandchildren, Taylor Webb, Carson Mathews, Kaden Seekins and Ezekiel Kern. Extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by brother John F. Zingg of Dayton.

In keeping with Richard's wishes, there will be no public visitation. Family and friends can share in a Celebration of Life luncheon on Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the UAW Local 14 Union Hall, 5411 Jackman Rd., Toledo, Ohio 43613.
