Mary Desko

Mary E. Desko, age 85, of Ottawa Lake, Michigan passed away on August 1, 2016. Mary was born in Elizabeth, PA on July 23, 1931 to Roy & Margaret (Williams) Eaton. She married her high school sweetheart, James Desko, June 4, 1949. Mary & James loved boating and were members of the Harbor View Yacht Club. She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Ottawa Lake, Michigan. Mary loved being with her family and friends, but especially her grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 67 years, James; daughter, Marilyn Dobrolenski; son, Steve (Patricia) Desko; daughter Mary Jane Duskey; grandchildren, Dawn Desko; Phillip Duskey; Danetta (Jonathan) Van Buren; Josh (Nichole) Desko; Janetta Stoiber; great grandchildren, Nicholas; MaryAnn; Riley; Kelsy; Jonathan, Jr.; Wyatt; Evie; Briana; Bradley; Hannah; Isaiah; great-great grandchildren, Jaden & Holly; and niece, Bobbie Wilson. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Donald Duskey.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 7, 2016 from 2:00 - 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Monday, August 8, 2016 beginning at 10 am. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Promedica Hospice.
